Driver/s must be between 25 and 70, of good health and have held a UK full / valid driving licence for at least two years. The licence must be clear of any endorsements apart from up to six points for speeding offences (SP30 and / or SP50). Please advise us at the time of your enquiry or booking if any driver has had any accidents and/or insurance claims, fault or non-fault within the past 2 years. Further information will be required so that we can carry out an insurance clearance, to check we can hire to you (please refer to our Hire Terms & Conditions for further information). All motorhomes are under 3.5T so you are able to drive them on a normal UK driving licence. No one other than the drivers named in the hire agreement may drive the hired motorhome.

All drivers must have the following:
-UK driving license for a minimum of 2 years
-Drive regularly
-In good health (if you have any medical conditions or history please let us know before booking)
-Not been banned or disqualified in the last 10 years
-Not had any vehicle accidents or claims in the last 2 years (fault or non-fault) please let us know before booking
-The hirer/main driver must take the vehicle on the day of collection and pay the security deposit (for security reasons)

The motorhome is only one metre longer than a large estate car. The high driving position, large mirrors and reversing camera make our motorhomes easy to drive. However, you will need to take extra care when manoeuvring and ask your passenger to guide you safely when needed. Parking in towns can be difficult and so is best avoided where possible. Watch out for height restrictions and try to find parking bays dedicated for motorhomes or larger vehicles. It is the hirer’s/main driver’s responsibility to ensure the gross vehicle weight is no more than 3500KG when fully loaded and must ensure contents are secure at all times.

A minimum hire period of 3 nights applies throughout the year except high season where a 7 night minimum hire applies.

If you are travelling to Europe the minimum hire is 7 nights.  We do reserve the right to increase booking fees, which depend on time of year due to festivals and sporting events etc.

Yes upon confirmation of eligibility, the hirer/main driver will receive a request for a deposit payment of £150 via secure media. The non-refundable deposit will be deducted from the hirer/main driver’s nominated card supplied at the time of booking and this amount will be processed from the account immediately If you are booking within the 6 weeks of the collection date, then we would require the full hire payment at the time of booking. If you would like to book a 3 day hire (available during low and mid-season only) then please contact us to confirm the amount of deposit that would need to be paid at the time of booking. All payments must be made from the hirer/main driver’s debit or credit card for security reasons.

Motorhomes can go in the Eurotunnel and you are required to register as a motorhome at the time of booking with the appropriate vehicle measurements. Motorhomes can be taken on a ferry, the company will usually ask for the registration number and length of the vehicle. If you would like to experience more of a wild ‘off grid’ vacation where you do not stop at a serviced area, please ensure that you have ample water on board for washing, cooking etc. Motorhomes are capable of running indefinitely without hook up, as long as you move daily as the vehicle charges the leisure batteries whilst driving as well as having a solar panel.

Yes a minimum security deposit of £1000.00 to cover the insurance damage excess is payable on the day of collection.  The security deposit must be made from the hirer/main driver’s debit or credit card for security reasons.  Security deposits are refunded in full provided that the vehicle is returned clean, undamaged and on the correct date and time stated on your hire agreement.   Please note that the security deposit (unless stated otherwise on your hire agreement) covers you in an event of an insurance claim or road traffic accident.

Motorhomes hired for 7 days or more are available for collection on Saturdays between 15.00-17.00 (PM) and must be returned between 10.00-11:00 (AM) on the final day of hire. Please allow time for unpacking and cleaning of the vehicle in your schedule, so the vehicle is returned and keys handed in on time. A late fee is chargeable for any motorhome returned after 11am on the final day of hire. For hires of between 3-6 days, collection and return days/times will be confirmed at the point of booking.

All drivers must be present at the time of collection with the following identification: 
-Full UK or EU driving licence (UK licences must have a valid “licence share code” from www.gov.uk/view-driving-licence)
-Valid debit or credit card
-Two of the following proof of address:
     Utility bill - landline telephone, gas, electric, water
     Bank Statement - dated within three months of collection showing driver’s name & address
     Credit Card Statement - dated within three months of collection showing driver’s name & address
     Council tax invoice for the current year
-Hirer/main drivers’ debit or credit card to pay the security deposit (insurance excess)
-International driving licence/permit (check with us if this is required)
-Valid passport

All motorhomes needs to be returned to the Bleu Forest Motorhomes Swindon office between 10.00-11.00 AM) unless otherwise agreed.  The vehicle must be returned in a clean and hygienic condition throughout (inside and outside), with the toilet cassette emptied, cassette and cassette area clean, wastewater tank emptied, all locker areas and cab cleaned ready for its next rental.  Please make sure grey water and toilet cassettes are only disposed of at approved disposal points.  We ask that motorhome is returned with a full tank of diesel.

If the vehicle is not returned back in a clean, hygiene and tidy state, the following cleaning and valeting charges will apply:
-Standard cleaning charge: £150
-If you have rented the vehicle to attend a festival, an event - football, rugby etc or film and entertainment use our cleaning charge is £300
-Failure to clean toilet cassette area is a charge of £150
-Failure to empty the wastewater tank is a charge of £20, 
-Valeting of upholsteries including mattresses, seats, curtains, mattress protectors, carpets etc a minimum charge of £150 to maximum charge of £250 on top of our standard festival/event cleaning charge.

The following is not covered by our insurance:
-Engine keys and tracker fobs
-All motorhome accessories
-Any internal damage including stains, marks etc
-Any additional extras you have hired
-The accessories it was hired out with
-Any unauthorised repairs, parts, recovery etc
-Any unauthorised parts, costs, charges etc
-Other items / scenarios may apply
The hirer/main driver is liable for all of the above and will be charged the full amount.

Yes you can protect your security deposit.  There are many companies on the Internet that will be able to provide you with motorhome hire excess insurance.  Bleu Forest Motorhomes recommends you do this.

Yes we do allow pets in our motorhomes at no additional charge. Please notify us as time of booking if you intend to travel with your pet/s. If you intend to take your pet abroad, please ensure all the appropriate legislation is adhered to. Bleu Forest Motorhomes will not accept any responsibility for any legislation that is not adhered too.  We ask that you do not allow your pet/s on any of the soft furnishings, do not leave them unattended in the motor home at any time and ensure pets are safely secured when the vehicle is in motion. Any damage caused by your pet is liable to the hirer/main driver and additional pet cleaning charges may also apply. Please ensure you have cleaned thoroughly inside the motorhome before returning at the end of your hire.

The leisure battery is an independent battery in the motorhome that powers 12V appliances, the lights, the heating, the USB sockets and the fridge.  The leisure battery is recharged when the engine is running, when connected to mains and from the solar panel during daylight hours.  The following will work on a leisure battery:
-Lights are powered from the leisure battery
-Water pump
-TV/digital aerial.

-A power source of 240 volts is needed to fully power the motorhome
-The onboard 240v plug socket can be used when hooked up
-The fridge can be used off the mains electric
-The leisure battery will also charge through the mains electric
-A generator can also be used in place of a 240v mains hook up.

All motorhomes will do roughly 25-30 miles per gallon.

-Dependent on models there is at least 1 x plug socket for a standard 3-point plug (this will only work when connected to the mains electric)
-1 x 12v socket in the dash which can be used for car phone charges, sat nav’s etc
-USB charging points.

Yes motorhomes can fit a baby seat/booster seat/booster cushions.

All cancellations must be made to us via email [email protected] The initial booking deposit is non-refundable. Please ensure that you receive a cancellation confirmation email from Bleu Forest Motorhomes otherwise your booking has not been confirmed as cancelled. In addition to forfeiting your booking deposit, the following charges also apply:

No-shows: Insurance cover is advised to safeguard against this possibility.  Unfortunately, Bleu Forest Motorhomes cannot postpone or transfer money from one hire to another.

Sorry we do not currently offer a delivery service, motorhomes will need to be collected and returned to the Bleu Forest Motorhomes Swindon office.

The insurers do not discriminate against medical conditions. So long as the DVLA/ doctor/GP have not imposed any restrictions then you are covered as standard.
